Pink House Peace –
track 6, "Dreams of a Homecoming"
This song was prompted by a heart-cry I saw carved
graffiti-like into the blown wall of a war-destroyed
home in Bosnia:
“Peace”
- an echo of the aching cry of millions...
The end of the song features a former “freedom
fighter” whose dearest friends were killed at his
side, whose life was driven by revenge and hatred.
But I saw this man’s life utterly changed when he
met the Prince of Peace… and experienced peace and
the ultimate homecoming.
This thirst for peace and a homecoming is not just
felt by the refugee in her isolated camp or the
civil-war fighter in his sand-bagged fox hole. As I
explain in the insert of the CD,
"A longing for a homecoming fills countless
people's hearts: a yearning for peace…”
The world is full of those who dream of a
homecoming. As He explains in Luke 15, it was to
bring us “home” that Jesus came. My prayer is that
the message of this ultimate homecoming would be
clearly presented through this CD.
