Princess in
the Park - track 3, "Dreams of a Homecoming"
Just after a particularly violent
time around us in Serbia
I sat in a café absorbing the new atmosphere of a faltering
peace. Around me was devastation at every level:
terrorized families; destroyed buildings; shattered lives. Propaganda, deception and violence had wrought their worst.
In the midst of this wretched scene, a little girl toddled out
of an alley into a park gripping the hand of her grandfather.
She was a picture of innocence and peace against a backdrop
of evil and fear.
The scene could be in Gaza city or New York, Baghdad or
Jerusalem - an innocent life enmeshed into the terrible power games of an evil world.
